Steel-lined PFA (perfluoroalkoxy alkane) pipe
Introduction
- Product Description
-
• Pipeline material positioning: PFA is a modified fluoropolymer of PTFE, retaining the chemical inertness of the “king of plastics” while offering melt-processability, superior thermal stability, and enhanced high‑temperature strength.
• Key parameters: temperature resistance of 200–260°C, excellent resistance to strong corrosive media, suitable for conveying high-purity fluids, and capable of replacing certain PTFE applications in ultra-high-temperature environments.
• Typical advantages: high-temperature resistance, creep resistance, low outgassing, and a smooth inner wall that resists scale formation, making it suitable for high‑purity applications such as semiconductors and pharmaceuticals.
• Application scenarios: transportation of semiconductor-grade high-purity gases and ultrapure water, aseptic fluid transfer in the pharmaceutical industry, and handling of high-temperature, highly corrosive media in the chemical industry (such as hot concentrated acids and organic solvents).
• Limitations: Higher cost than the PTFE series, stringent processing requirements, and the need for thermal expansion designs tailored to high-temperature operating conditions.
Our company offers custom-designed, non‑standard steel‑lined PTFE pipe fittings, manufactured specifically to meet customers’ specifications and application requirements.
