Fluoroplastic-lined expansion joint
Introduction
- Product Description
-
Fluoropolymer-lined expansion joints (also known as fluoropolymer-lined bellows compensators) are flexible pipe fittings that combine corrosion resistance with compensation capabilities. They are primarily used to mitigate stresses caused by thermal expansion and contraction, installation misalignment, and equipment vibration, thereby ensuring the safe and reliable operation of piping systems.
• Material: The body is constructed from 304/316 stainless steel corrugated tubing, with an outer layer of stainless steel braided mesh to enhance pressure resistance and tensile strength. The inner lining is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), offering excellent resistance to strong acids, strong alkalis, strong oxidizing agents, and a wide range of organic solvents. It operates within a temperature range of –196°C to 260°C, is odorless and does not leach any substances, and is suitable for cleanroom environments and highly corrosive service conditions.
• The product boasts excellent sealing performance, with a pressure rating of 0.6 to 1.6 MPa, and can flexibly accommodate axial and lateral displacements. It is easy to install, offering flanged, threaded, and other connection options, and is available in sizes from DN15 to DN600, with custom non‑standard configurations available upon request.
• Application areas: Widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, environmental protection, lithium‑battery, and metallurgical industries, it is primarily employed for conveying highly corrosive media such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, liquid caustic soda, and organic solvents. It effectively addresses the longstanding issues of corrosion, leakage, and short service life associated with conventional expansion joints, making it an indispensable key component in highly corrosive piping systems.
