Lined PO and PE pipes

Both PO and PE lined pipes are steel‑lined plastic composite pipes. They use carbon steel (primarily Q235B) as the base material, with an inner lining of various thermoplastic polymers. This design combines the high strength and impact resistance of carbon steel with the excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the plastic layer, making these pipes widely used in industries such as chemical processing, municipal engineering, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and power generation.

Introduction

  • Product Description
  • Both PO and PE lined pipes are steel‑lined plastic composite pipes. They use carbon steel (primarily Q235B) as the base material, with an inner lining of various thermoplastic polymers. This design combines the high strength and impact resistance of carbon steel with the excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the plastic lining, making these pipes widely applicable in industries such as chemical processing, municipal engineering, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and power generation.

    Steel-lined PE pipe (Polyethylene)

    • Material: The core is made of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Custom-modified PE grades—such as those with enhanced aging resistance, low-temperature performance, superior abrasion resistance, or food-grade certification—are available upon request. The material is odorless, does not release harmful substances, and meets the stringent requirements of hygienic applications.

    • Application scenarios: municipal water supply and drainage, potable water conveyance, food and beverage transport, transportation of mildly corrosive chemical media at ambient temperature (dilute acids, dilute alkalis, wastewater), handling of solid–liquid slurries (mining tailings, power‑plant coal slurry), and underground gas branch pipelines, among others.

    Steel-lined PO pipe (Polyolefin)

    • Material: The core material is an ethylene–propylene copolymer (modified PE, commonly referred to as PO in the industry), which represents an advanced alternative to PE and PP. It offers superior overall performance and can be customized—based on customer requirements for wear resistance, temperature resistance, and barrier properties—to deliver high‑impact‑resistant, high‑temperature‑resistant, and highly corrosion‑resistant modified PO grades. This material combines excellent mechanical properties with outstanding chemical stability and exhibits exceptionally strong adhesion.

    • Application scenarios: transportation of medium‑temperature corrosive media in the chemical, metallurgical, agrochemical, and dye industries; conveyance of corrosive liquids containing small solid particles; slurry circulation pipelines in power‑plant desulfurization towers; ammonia‑water delivery lines in denitrification systems; industrial wastewater treatment pipelines, and more. Customized solutions can be tailored to specific operating conditions, offering superior resistance to temperature, abrasion, and corrosion—replacing lining materials such as rubber or fiberglass‑reinforced plastics—while delivering higher cost‑effectiveness and extended service life.

Leveraging cutting-edge technology and a seasoned engineering team, we look forward to forging sincere partnerships with each of our clients. Together, we will co‑create tailored solutions that meet market demands and become your trusted long‑term partner.
